This notice explains what personal information ToolClinic collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language deliberately. If anything here is unclear, please contact us and we will explain it.
1. Who we are
ToolClinic.in is operated by Clinicway Business Solutions Pvt Ltd, Pune, India (“ToolClinic”, “we”, “us”). We operate a platform connecting Micro and Small Enterprises in the metal-cutting sector with machines, cutting tools, industry experts and skilled engineers.
For any question about this notice or your information, write to contact@toolclinic.in or call +91 88309 97009.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, mobile number and email address. These are required to create an account, because we use your mobile number to sign you in.
- Profile details — depending on the type of account, this may include your education, your current or previous employer, gender, a profile photograph, and your city, state and PIN code.
- Resumes and documents — if you apply for a job, the PDF or DOCX file you upload, and its contents.
- Listings you create — details of machines, spare capacity, products or jobs you publish, including photographs.
- Enquiries and messages — anything you send us through a contact or enquiry form, including as a guest without an account.
Information collected automatically
- Session cookies — we set two cookies. One keeps you signed in; the other protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Both are strictly necessary for the site to work and are not used for advertising.
- Technical logs — our server records the pages requested, the time, and technical details such as IP address, for security and to diagnose faults.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for and do not store your payment card details on this platform.
- We do not collect Aadhaar, PAN or other government identity numbers through this website.
- We do not currently run advertising pixels or third-party analytics trackers on this site.
3. Why we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and to sign you in using a one-time password sent to your mobile number.
- To show your listing, profile or application to the people it is meant for — for example, showing your resume to an employer whose job you applied to.
- To respond to your enquiries and put you in touch with the right expert, supplier or workshop.
- To operate, maintain and improve the platform, and to investigate faults, misuse or fraud.
- To send you service messages relating to your account or your enquiries.
We rely on your consent, given when you create an account or submit a form. You may withdraw that consent at any time — see section 7.
4. What we share, and with whom
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it only in these situations:
- With the intended recipient. If you apply for a job, the employer who posted it can see your application and resume. If you enquire about a machine or product, the lister can see your enquiry and contact details. That is the purpose of the platform.
- With service providers who operate the platform on our behalf — our website hosting provider, our SMS gateway (used to deliver your one-time password), and our email provider. They may only use the information to provide that service to us.
- Where the law requires it — to comply with a legal obligation, a court order, or a lawful request from a public authority, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
- In a business transfer — if the business is merged, acquired or reorganised, information may transfer as part of that transaction. We would tell you if that happened.
5. Public information
Some things you publish are visible to anyone who visits the site — for example a machine listing, a job posting, or an expert profile. Please do not put personal details into those fields that you would not want to be public.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and profile information is kept while your account is active.
- Resumes and job applications are kept while your account is active, so employers can view applications you have made.
- Enquiries and contact messages are kept while we deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Server logs are kept for a short period for security and diagnostics.
If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information, except anything we must keep to meet a legal obligation.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your account and the personal information associated with it;
- stop using your information for a particular purpose, or withdraw consent you have given.
To exercise any of these, email contact@toolclinic.in from the address registered on your account, or write to us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity before acting, to make sure we are not disclosing your information to someone else.
8. How we protect your information
- The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
- Signing in requires a one-time password sent to your registered mobile number, so a password alone cannot be used to access your account.
- Sign-in attempts are rate limited to frustrate automated guessing.
- Access to the systems holding personal information is restricted to people who need it to do their job.
No online service can promise perfect security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will act promptly and notify you and the relevant authority where we are required to.
9. Children
This platform is intended for working professionals and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this notice and change the date at the top. Where the change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you directly.
11. Grievance and contact
If you have a complaint about how your personal information has been handled, contact our Grievance Officer. We take complaints seriously and will acknowledge and investigate each one.
